About the product

Wrap yourself in a piece of history with The Kansas River Flood of 1903 Woven Blanket, featuring my original mixed-media artwork created for Episode 4: Early Memories Near Topeka in The Biography of Earl Dewey Fisher audiobook series. Inspired by Earl's childhood recollection of witnessing a house carried downstream during the historic Kansas River Flood of 1903, this blanket transforms a remarkable family memory into a cozy work of art.

The original illustration was created primarily with colored pencil, enhanced with India ink pen, mechanical pencil, fine liner pen, and an acrylic paint pen border before being digitally refined in Snapseed. Every woven thread captures the detail and atmosphere of the original artwork, making this blanket as beautiful displayed on a wall as it is draped across a couch or bed.

Perfect for relaxing at home, adding warmth to your favorite reading chair, or displaying as a decorative textile, this woven blanket is both a functional keepsake and a celebration of history, storytelling, and traditional art.
